If i wanted to put these mods (IDS2,K&N) on my recon what would it do to my reliabilty? Please anyone who has done these sort of things to your own machines recon or not, let me know if it is worth it "money wise and performance gains" to sacrifice reliabity for speed & power.

I could see no way these bolt-on accessories could affect your reliability, assuming that the filter is kept clean and not subjected to too much dust with out a prefilter. I run a Curtis Sparks pipe with a Supertrapp & a Pro Design filter/air box adaptor on my Warrior, and as I ride alone much of the time away from any human habitation in the Az desert, I'm quite concerned about reliability also. The only effect such additions would have would be on your performance, which should be somewhat improved; just remember that you'll need to rejet your main jet to compensate for the increased air flow.

it wont affect your reliabity any bolt on mods dont just keep the K&N oiled and cleaned and also grab a #100 main jet or maybe a little bigger for these mods (stock 95)

only internal motor mods will affect your reliability.
