on my vinson it calls for type4 break fluid ,i got the wrong can and put in type 5 to top up my resivor,so i have 2 types of break fluid mixed together which is not good, can i completly flush it out by opening the bleed screw and keep filling the revisor until it has all been flushed out and how does mixing types affect the breaking

 

3 and 4 are compatible. NEVER mix DOT 3 or 4 with DOT 5. 3 and 4 are alcohol based, while 5 is silicone based.
Just get 3 or 4, its not expensive at all.
