I have an 86 warrior [bone stock] are thier any after market carbs out thier that would work well on this unit? Happy Trails RJ

 

If your wheeler is Bone stock...and it is running just fine....I can't see what big gains you are going to get out of a new carb.
if the carb is junk...I would try a rebuild or get another used stocker for your application

IF you can be a bit more specific about your needs for a new carb..I might be able to help out...A friend of mine just put a larger carb on his stock warrior and we had to starve the carb to prevent flooding....The stock warrior engine had no idea what to do with all the extra fuel this carb was sucking.

 

Get a pipe and aftermarket air filter first, then you could get a 34mm Mikuni round slide from White Bros. and put a UFO in it. This setup outflows a flat slide at high RPM's, and offers better fuel atomization at low RPM's for better response. The whole setup runs about $220. Of course that's after you get your pipe and air filter. A larger carb won't do you any good. As I recall, Mickey Dunlap only uses a 37mm carb (34mm bored 3mm over) on his FST Warrior 490 kit.

 

Thanks for advice,the purpose for the new carb is the stock one has been giving me rebuild headachs for awhile now. maybe I should try sending this carb to a better shop that is more qualified to rebuild carbs. In the past, problem carbs on other motors is best resolved with a new carb. I would prefer not to upgrade pipe ect. as a new Raptor is in my future. Thanks to all for any help! Happy Trails RJ

 

Where do you get 34mm? The stock warrior carb is a 36mm! Check out Yamaha's site if you don't believe me. If the warrior has a 34mm then why would a wolverine have a 35mm when is it less of a "high-performance" machine. It's a 36mm!

 

Personally, I'd really like to know where you found this "86" Warrior. Maybe it just isn't listed... anywhere, but I've never heard of that model.
