Default Warrior Problem

I'm new to the forum and searched but couldn't really find what I'm looking for. I have a stock 2001 warrior. Well a month ago it got where it didn't want to idle, so I started checking it over and noticed the carb boot had split(the dealer said this doesn't happen often). After replacing the boot, cleaning the carb, air filter, and fuel tank I was riding the other day and it backfired. I noticed the boot split again so i called the dealer and they have no clue why it did it again. Can anyone please tell how to fix this problem. Thanks in advance.

Start by checking your jetting. If its running a little too lean, it could cause a backfire when decelerating. If you jetting is okay, check the clearance on your intake valves. If the clearance is too small, it can allow your valves to open prematurely and backfire combustion through your carb. Air cooled engines usually have problems with valves having too much clearance but it is definitely something to check. Let us know how it turns out.
