i always feel like im droppin rocks the transmission whenever i shift gears. especially downshifting.
i never beat up on the thing so i dont know why its doin it. if i remember right, it used to shift alot
easier and smoother. is there any way i can make
shifting a little easier on the machine??? i turned the free play screw a bit but it hasnt helped much. someone help.

 

Have you tried adjusting the linkage between the shifter and the shift shaft?

 

You can adjust your clutch on the left side to add a little more clutch. The early Wolvys used to have a problem with the clutch springs, not at all hard to change out. This may have happened to yours, those clutch spings can break. If adjusting it doesn't help...I would pull the cover and look at my springs.
