Default First good ride with cdi and new snorkles

Got in a good 4-5 hr ride today, first good one with the new cdi. Ran amazingly well, incredible power, almost scary sometimes how it would just stand right up when it grabbed traction coming out of mudholes. The quad now wheelies easily even when on downhill grades(in low). Never had any "kickback" problems either, maybe 8-9 starts at various engine temps. I did notice that my fan hardly came on, way less than it used too. Used to be that when I shut the bike off on the trail, the fan would run long enough that it would be hard to start from the battery being drained.

The one drawback I found was during winching when the battery started to lose power, the quad would start to die out. Apparently the new cdi really does need more battery power.

Also just installed a full set of deep water snorkels, work real well.

Tim, 142/145 main jets, needles shimmed .04, idle screws about 2 1/2 turns out.

Seems to run real good, with the snorkle set up I do notice it stutter a bit at high speeds on the road, I think because of turbulence at the mouth of the snorkle not letting it get quite enough air. I've got 2" abs elbows turned to face backwards on top of the snorkles, with it facing forward, the quad seemed to run like crap at all speeds except wide open, too much air I guess.

Thats what I tried when I first put the new CDI in, but I had no luck with the shims and had to take them out. I will try again when I get my CDI back. Dynatek told me they are finding out we need to go bigger on the mains then what they expected. They went up 4 sizes on a P700.
