Eveyones posting pics, so here is my DS, in my page
I just posted my pics of my rebuild in my page. Its not done yet, but getting closer. Ill have my drag swingarm and axle done in the next coulple of weeks. It should weigh in at no more than 24 lbs. for everything. Notice the billet aluminum motor mounts! I polished the cases and swapped out all the fasteners with stainless allen heads. The swingarm is a prototype I built, the final design will be done in a few weeks. I lowered the rear end by 2 inches with the plus 6 swingarm, which by the way, makes for an incredibly smoooooooth ride. Landing off jumps are so cushy, you wouldnt believe it. Also, as some of you may know, when you lower the rear end, it changes the caster of the wheels, and completely eliminated the bump steer. I know it still has bump steer, and that it wasnt a true fix, but I cant feel any if there is any.
The motor work was done by Eric at HP research. Including the porting, cams, piston, and shim unders. I have the lectron 48 carb and the alba race pipe. The pipe isnt the best, but its not bad. I switch over to a 520 non oring chain and modified the sprockets to accomodate. The prototype swingarm weighs in at 10.5 pounds and has withstood any abuse I could put it thru at Silver Lake a couple of weeks ago. (including jumping, drags, and a little cat and mouse with our club).
Anyway, here is what I ride,
Gary
