Anyone ever modify a landscape trailer for ramps on the side
#1
We have a 14' landscape trailer that has a truck box mounted in the front of the bed so now 3 bikes fit in the trailer. but now we have to pick up the bikes and swing them sideways so they will fit properly in the trailer. We are thinking of cutting the sides out and using ramps to drive the bikes on from the side. If anyone has dne this can you send me a photo or tell me how yours is set up

I have a 6 1/2' x 12' trailer that has 18" sides and a rear ramp. I had the welding instructor at the local high school cut out a 6' section of side rail in front of the right wheel and he added a 6'ramp in it's place. He used 1" square stock, with the rails being about 6" apart. The hinges are made from pipe and round stock. I don't have anyway to post a picture.
I've seen some trailers with ramps on both sides but I decided on only one side to save weight and it's not too much bother to back off the trailer. I can haul 3 smaller machines- Big bear 4x4, Foreman 400 and a Timberwolf with minimal lifting.I can get enough of an angle on the rear ramp to load the last machine by sliding the back end around, across the trailer. Sorry for my poor description, hope this helps.
