My dad has a 03 grizz and wants to know what the best all terrain tire should be for is quad.

I'd say the Mud Lites. Very nice tire for all around use. Here is a link: ITP Mud Lite

 

All around, I would say Maxxis Bighorns. Supposedly they ride real good, and have the type of tread pattern that handles everything pretty good. I can say one thing, mud tires do not perform on rocks and loose dirt. My Claws slide on slick rocks, and they just dig holes climbing loose dirt hills. In the mud however, totally different story. The bighorns look like they would be ok (and only ok) in mud, and would handle everything else very good.

All the tires you will hear as a reply are going to be pricey too, so a decent tire for the money is the Bear Claws. Quite a bit cheaper than the others, and always a good performer. Dirt Devils are a decent trail tire that are less expensive, and are also a 6 ply tire. And like the other guy said, Mudlites are supposed to be good, and I don't think they cost near as much as many other tires do.

 

So far in what I’ve tried I like the 26” Dirt Devils the best for my Grizzly. They grip well in the loose stuff, but not too much and allow for easy power sliding (especially when compared to ITP Holeshot Radials, which have a lot of lateral grip and make sliding harder with an IRS quad). Once I wear these tires out I’ll probably try the Maxxis Bighorns to see how they do…
