Need help w/2000 bigbear 4x4!!!
#1
I just got into riding atv's. I bought a 2000 BigBear 4x4
I've ridden it 2 times for about 10 hours at a time. Everything on it is stock, and doesnt look like it saw much riding before I got it.
Last saturday I was riding and it was emitting a little bit of white smoke from the exhaust. I guess it's also getting water into the airbox, I'm not sure where from though. But I'm guessing thats why the white smoke is coming out of the tail pipe.
I changed the oil/filter tonight and dried out the airbox and cleaned it. Started it up and it's still blowing white smoke out the tailpipe. It's idling fine as I can tell no change since I bought it.
What do I do now??

Does it smoke all the time, even when its hot?
Drain the carb float bowl into a clear container, and lt sit for a day or so. If theres water in the gas, itll separate out, and youll see it.
I wouldnt think that adding a snorkle would require a jet change. Hows the drivability? Any issues? Hard starting , missing , bog, backfiring?

Its posible the snorkle is more restrictive than the stock tube. To get rid of the hesitaion, off idle, youll need to adjust the mixture screw. Try running with the choke on, this will richen the mixture, and see if the hesitation gets better or worse. This will help you figure out which way to go with the mixture screw. If it runs better with the choke on, then you need to go richer with the mixture scvrew, which is out.
