How well will the Kodiak 400 4x4 Auto, Mud ??
#1
I'm considering a yamaha kodiak ""2000 YAMAHA KODIAK, 4x4, w/push button 4x2, good cond. w/2000 lbs. trailer, outlaw tires, and extra set tires, $3000"" and here's a picture of it Pic I enjoy riding around my yamaha beartracker and banshees but need a utility, will this be any good ?? I want to trail ride and MUD !!!! LOTS OF MUD, comfortable, this already has a snorkel and everything, is this a good deal ?? I'm worried about a lack of power from the little 400, I've ridden a 2 wheel drive honda rancher 350 ES, and was not very impressed.... I was hoping for noticeably more power than that, how about this belt drive, anyone have alot of problems, what are the ups and downs of this machine, and what are common problems that I need to look for when I go look at it ?? Thanks guys !!!!

My buddy has a 400 auto kodiac. Very impressive from an auto. In 2wd i can get the front tires to pull off the ground. Also it should have LOW range for those hard pulls. They will play through just about any kinf og mud the tires will let it. From the pic i would say you will have no problem goin though mud. Just beware of what the PO did to it. Those tires about grantee that he abused it. Double check before you purchase.

the ups are that it very relieable, light and easy to throw around. The downside is it's only a 400, and the front diff doesn't lock. But you can get the aftermarket locking diff kit. I would do that if I were you and mudding. The belt cover has a drain plug, set it up to drain a little easier, is another thing I would do. Stupidest thing I ever did was sell my 2000 Kodiak. 3000 is a steal. Have fun.

Yeah it comes with a trailer too.... For 3 g's, I called the guy, sounds like he just came from afganistan or something, I couldnt understand a damn word out of his mouth, but he says it needs absolutly nothing, anyone on here wannt buy my 89 Banshee, it's got a helluva story behind it, needless to say it has less than 40 original hours on the entire bike.... Make me an offer I cant refuse, it's got new tires/brakes/seals/topend/bushings/bearings/ yada yada yada etc. and so on, too much too list, The original 1989 plastics are in near mint condition, their not even faded..... If anyone on here is interested let me know.... I'll even deliver it....

Hold the phone! Your not looking at this deal off EBAY are you? I think about half of the motor toy ads on ebay are scams. I busted a guy last night. My rule, if it sounds to good to be true, it is. Make sure it's not stolen, and you can see it before you pay!

I own a 2002 400 kodiak. great in the mud and loads of power but have problems with the 4x4 gear motor
Hopefully just a lemon but take the reverse rev limit out and she's made for the mudd
