Oil ratio and smaller sprocket??
#1
Hi again! I have two more questions. I'm using Motul 600 oil for the banshee engine now..what do yall advise for the ratio? I'm using about 30/1 right now...
Can someone explain to me why going a size or two on my front sprocket on my banshee makes better low end?
Thanks again all!!

Going up one or two teeth on the front sprocket will give you more top-end , but you will loose bottom end big time. You will want to go down one tooth for better bottom end. So , when we goin to Bayou Motocross??... Also, you can go up in the rear for more bottom end but doing the front tooth is easier and cheaper. Well later, Kenny H.

You better only go up or down 1 size only. Stock CS sprocket is 14t. You can go with a 13t or 15t but that's it due to clearance issues. If you tried to go to a 12t it would really, really rub on the swingarm mounted chain roller and tear it up in no time. I put a 13t on my Bnashee and after a few trips out it pretty much wiped out the chain roller; seen this same thing on other's quads too. Buy a chain slider (about $30) if you go smaller on the front sprocket. Any way, the smaller the front/larger the back sprockets the lower the gearing and vice versa.

32:1 ratio (4 oz per gallon of gas) Maxima Castor 927 is recommended. For sprocket selection you can't beat. www.sprocketspecialists.com
