Was doing a lube job and noticed that the nuts on both the top and bottom bolts that hold the swing arm to the axle were gone! the bolts had started to back off which would of gotten jammed into the chain/sprocket.
I added some lock tight and hope that they will hold. Anyone else have this problem?

You may want to check all of the bolts around the rear end. In particular, the large axle bolts and the 22mm bolts that hold the spindles on the axle. Check for free play on the rear spindles; jack up the rear end, put on parking brake and try to rotate the back wheels and feel for slop between axle and spindle. I've been through this on my Warrior, Blaster and Banshee. I guess it's a Yamaha thing. Trust me, you don't want anything back there falling off or coming loose.

 

I figured newer Warriors wouldn't have that problem. Mine does the same thing though. I had to replace one with a lock nut. All I know to tell ya is to check before you go riding. Good luck.

 

I got a 2000 Warrior and yes i had to retighten my bolts on the rearend like after every ride.I put some loctite on them and now i have no problem.Just check them every now and then and keep an eye on them.I ride hard so i expect stuff to come loose every now and then i guess.Well later!

 

Yeah, the same thing happened to me on the trail. I used lock washers instead of the flat variety, and I haven't had a problem yet.

 

I looked down one day and the bolt was already hitting the spocket. Luckily no other damage done. I replaced it and check it all the time.
