Mild 686 with stock carbs.
#1
Hey folks, I'm new here and have been reading the countless 686 posts and wanted to get some input on the best way to go about it.
This is what I'm planning to build.
JE 11/1 piston (I know, I know)
Hotcams stage 1(I really don't want to have to change the valve springs just yet)
Stock Sleeve(The sleeve is in really good shape so why replace it)
Stock Carbs(Just not in the budget just yet)
Porting and Polishing(I hear this is a must to gain some real HP)
HMF Slip-On(Yeah Yeah, I'm thrifty, so what)
I know with this setup I won't be burning the sand into glass with my paddles but I should be able to beat anything stock shouldn't I?
Also, could anyone tell me what kind of jetting I should run the stock carbs at without the carb mods and with the carb mods. By carb mods I mean the 02 Grizzly needle valve connected to the floats and the fuel line splitter mods.
