paint job on stock plastics

Default paint job on stock plastics

my stock blue plastics are gone, they have been through hell in the trails, i got spots from the fender bending and have a few scraches. i know there is paint for plastic and wanted to know if that kind of paint will work if so how can i prep the plastics for painting.

hey..
before you go out and paint it try one thing.. Get a heat gun(if u have to buy one buy one just get like a 30 dollar one.. i also have a blue raptor with stress marks(well did) but u take the heat gun and warm up the plastics in the area where stress is and u can watch them dissappear.. dont leave it there to long just long enough to see a change then take it to another spot and if it still neds more go back.. alsorun it along the scratches and it will help those also.. Be careful around stickers..

BUt.

if that doesnt work for you and your truely set on painting you need to get a flex agent in the paint you use. If i were you i would take the plastics off and then take it to a body shop tell them what u want done. and they will do it..

Krylon Fusion works great you can pick it up at wal-mart and stores like that.
