Raptor oil leak plus broken subframe mount :(
#1
First of all I just found out my raptor is leaking oil from the bottom of the clutch cover gasket...its leaking like 1 drop every 1.5 minutes, so Im ordering a Cometic gasket and a GYTR clutch...Second, I had a wreck a long time ago and now a mounting tab for the subframe on the foot brake side broke the welds. Can I have this welded? Is the frame steel or aluminum? Thanks guys!!!

If its your rear subframe on a 2003 its steel, but on the 01 raptor its aluminum, i would just pick up a used one off of ebay, i got a 01 which saved a few pounds for my 2002 off of ebay for 40 bucks.

Ive got an 03, Im gonna try to weld it and see if it holds up, if not Im gonna have to buy a used one and powdercoat it black

Check for an LE sub frame, some of those are black. Also check yours for bends before you weld it. I used to do a little mx racing and bent my axle and sub frame at the same time. My subframe is still just a touch out of whack (you couldn't see where until I polished it), but if you look at the back of my bike the right corner is lower than the left by just a little. The 01s are alot lighter if you are going to drag and have to get one powder coated anyway.
