Default '03 Rancher winch install hot wire???

Can anyone tell me the color of the hot wire for splicing into for the install of a 2500 Warn winch? Unfortunately, I don't have a test light to verify. I'd like to get it right the first time. Thanks much.

It just needs to be spliced into a "switched" hot wire. Use one of the red ones coming off of the ignition switch.

The GREEN wire coming out the cigarette lighter behind the plastic in HOT. That's what I connected to.

Red with a black stripe should work as keyed ignition power. Or Pink.

Green wire from the accessory socket is a ground wire.

I had the same problem since no one at any of my local Honda ATV dealers had a clue! It's the Pink wire which will give you power only with the ignition switch turned on. The Red/Black wire is hot all the time.
