I just help a friend get a new 2000 Recon yesterday, but right off the van at home there was very noticable vibration coming thru the handgrips. After a few minutes it really bothered your arms. My Rancher exhibits nothing like this.

So: the question, how normal is this? Is it par the Recon? Will it decrease in time? Or is there something simple I can do to adjust/fix? Or does it need a trip back to the deal (50 miles)?

Thanks.

I bought 2 Recons in 97 one had the vibration in the handles the other didn't. We put a lot of miles on both with no problems but I didn't like the vibration so i traded it in on a Rancher

the write up that atving.com did on the recon talked about the excessive vibration in the recon.
the Recon i still have has little or no vibration hope this helps
later

My Recon has the vibration also. Atving.com review said they thought it has to do with the sideways mounted engine. They found similar vibration in all the Foreman series quads with the sideways engine.
I don't know if that is the cause or not, but I have gotten used to it. The vibration seems to be the worst right above an idle, so, GAS IT! ha ha
I haven't noticed any fasteners coming loose or anything like that, so I am not really concerned with it.
But as you can see from the responses in this post, it seems to be pretty common.
