Default my efi is sick :(

Well out of 589 miles i have ran into my first problem......it is idling correctly any where b/t 450 and 980 RPM and sometimes stalls out on inclines....and at about 50 mph feels like the rev limiter is kickin in....

so i took her to the hospitol (dealer) ahahha i hope they can make her feel good again

has anyone else ran into these problems? i read that some are having a low idle issue....thats not realy bother some....just the fact that it dosent run correctly....

well i hope to here from the dealer tomrow...ill let ya all know whats up...

Luke

hozed:
i know i felt a big relief when they told me its the TPS...with all this electrical wiring harnesses and computers and modules on these efi's i was thinking nothing but the worst, and this was my only fear about getting an efi its like starting completly over in the atv world, with carb'd models i can work on em or ask here for help.....this efi has to be taken to the dealer and hooked up to the diagnostic computer like your modern cars.......

does anyone know where i can my hands on this diagnostic software and cable and maybe use my laptop .....because i seem to rember reading the article on atving.com when the efis came out...and they had a laptop with some sort of software.....???

yah they have it maybe try and get it from your dealer. Only dealers can generally get it, but be prepared to spend some grit getting it from polaris.

You can pull trouble codes yourself. Look in your owners manual..

hey all.... i heard back from the dealer on friday (again), but got pre occupied, bad news.........apparently they need some kind of "special tool" to adjust air to fuel mixture....or to calibrate some sensor, so i was like ok dont tell me just GET R DONE..... and they said thats the problem....its going to take a week to a week an half to get this tool.......not a happy camper, but hey i understand its not all there fault, even tho i think as a dealer if there going to sell these machines they should have the tools to work on em....but there could be more to it then what there letting on......

so hopefully a miracle will happen and ill get it back by friday......cause theres a huge ride planned for saturday......and i want my baby.....

well ill keep everyone posted....as of all the problems for sure once i talk to them in person.......so i can put in here exactly what the problems were...incase someone else runs into these symptoms...

later all
