How important do you think ground clearance is? and how many of you have sports quads that go where 4x4's go.

 

If you do alot of trail riding, riding in areas where thier are alot of rocks and mud then ground clearance is THE MOST important thing to have. You can have all the power in the world but that wont get you over rocks and trees. I guess you can call my Trailblazer a sport quad and it will go everywhere the 4x4's will go with the exception of really deep mud. It will go through some deep stuff though. I now have a TB330 and it is even better than my 250. I am 6'1 and 225 lbs and it carries me anywhere I want to go.

 

well, depends on what type og riding you are going to do

I like my ground clearence for mud....not having to worry about straddling rocks....and not worrying about bottoming out on bad rutted areas

taking sport quads where 4x4 goes has a lot to do with experience, my son-in-law can go on his blaster, almost anywhere i can go

 

I would say ground clearence is the second most important thing...you can have all the ground clearence you want...but if you dont have the power to spin the bigger tires and get them clean so they can bite....you aint movin ne where

 

I ride my sport quad thru whatever and then some,,,and I run 22"(rear) 23" (front) 6 plys (raptor),,,,the extra clearance is nice. Easier to roll over stuff with the larger diameter tire.
They seem to take the high speed roots and rocks a lot better.
