Default cracked frame

hi guys,i was just looking at my stripped machine and noticed the cross piece that holds the upper motor mount and the fuel tank mount is broken, one side is cracked and totally broke from the frame and the other side is starting to crack..there really isnt anyway of welding it and having it be strong, think i should put some gussets on each side of it?if somebody could look at theirs and see if they can come up with a good fix id appreciate it,thanks..

its the piece that goes across the frame rails, the the upper motor mount is on the under side and the rear gas tank mount bolts to the top.i can weld it but the way the piece is made and the way its broke isnt going to make for a strong weld.im thinking i have to weld it and add gusset's..

the piece is needed for the motor mount,so getting ride of it isnt a good idea..im not sure how it broke or what would have caused it?
