Default small banshee problem

today i was going to ride my banshee and it was a real pain to start then i smelled gas so i know i flooded it then when i finally got it started it was idling really high could this be caused just from flooding it? i started it twice and it happened again i let it happen for about ten seconds then shut it off. so should i just ride it or is there a different problem?? thanks.

That happened to me with my blaster, It turned out to just be the trottle cable was a bit loose. I was a pain to start then it idled extremely high. Just take a little look at the trottle cable and wiggle it.

Any time your have a throttle that revs out of control or high...it is usually a lean condition. This can be jetting (Which I doubt because you did not touch it).... OR carb boots that have popped off. (My first guess)....or a sticking slide or throttle cable.

mine seems to rev high at times...all I do is hit the throttle one time and the idling goes down.

ya mine usually does idle a little high when the engine is still cold but i was reving it for a little while then it started to scare me because i dont have a killswitch because mine was disconnected for some reason so i have to use the choke and shut off the gas and i didnt want it to start idling really high so i just shut it down.
