Default is this a problem?

after taking my seat off my scrambler and lifting the cover to the filter which was quite dirty i noticed oil and the bottom of the tank, i'm not sure if that should be there or not. Also i noticed a little crack in the seal of the cover, as u probablly already guessed i know nothing about 4 wheelers and i am very worried about this, is it a major problem? thanks.

Have you flipped your machine or had it standing up on end at all? This will cause some oil to get in the air box. Nothing to worry about. There is a sediment drain tube on the bottom of the air box. Pull the plug and clean out the air box.

My Prairie has oil in the air box regularly. I was a little alarmed until I realized everyone else gets oil in their air box too. I stopped worrying about it.

i didn't flip it, i did wheelie it however, that's probablly why, but it drained by it's self.

The oil comes from the case breather. The breather tube is routed to the airbox. You will get oil in the airbox if you stand the quad on end, roll it over or if the case is over filled.
