Default Installing Reed Spacer

I read somewhere that you can install a reed spacer in 1 of 2 spots for different performance. Is this true and if so can comeone explain?

Thank you.

no it is not true the reed spacer goes in front of your reed cage to pull the reed cage farther away from the sleeve

Default Installing Reed Spacer

in the process of doing a search for something related and felt i had to correct this info.

a reed spacer can be installed to either push the carb farther away from the reeds or move the reeds farther away from the cylinder. Depending on how it is installed it changes performance in a different way and that is what i'm searching for since i no longer remember
