Are gold warrior rims just painted?

Are gold warrior rims just painted?
I just bought some extra rear rims for my warrior off of e-bay and they are off an older machine with the gold coloured rims.Can I remove this colour?.,I'm assuming its just paint on the aluminium?

Yes I'm sure they are probably the same as the Banshee rims.Wow hours of scrubbing doesn't sound like that much fun[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]
