Default 1999 Foreman 450ES shifting trouble

Hi,
New user here! I just bought a 99 450ES with 1530 miles and 260 hours. The bike wasn't titled until 2001. The electronic shift works intermittantly, mostly not. Anyone have a similar problem? I am pretty good with working through things, just need some starting points.
Thanks in advance!

I haven't had any problems with mine, but there have been some problems with the angle sensor. They say it's an easy fix and costs around $80. That might be a place to start. Also take the housing off of the shifter buttons and check for mud in there.

Err .. The start would be to look for bad connections, like the Shifter Fuse and if a wire is not loose or something ..

Don't pay 80$ if you don't know why it doesn't work.

Start with the easy stuff. Make sure the battery is up to snuff. Charge it up, and have autozone or napa do a load test on it.
If that checkd out ok, adjust the clutch, beleive it or not, thats the most common reason for es shifting problems.
Make sure you have the correct, wet clutch specific oil, and its clean and the correct level.
One of these should fix the problem, if not...let us know.
