well... i wanted to see what exactly was inside this box... and when carefully taking it apart... i broke it and now it wont click back together tightly... so do i just need to put a filter on the line coming out of the case near the starter or do i also need one on the line coming from the vavle cover... ive only seen people talk about the one coming from near the starter...

 

there is more then one vent going into this. the one from the case, one to the airbox and i think one from the carb. I also broke mine and had to replace it. Where the one hose come out to the airbox is where i added a aftermarket filter.

 

I'm confused... are you talking about the Airbox lid?

 

if i had an airbox then yes... there would be another line there... but there are only the 2 i mentioned...

and no not the airbox lid... underneath the shift side rear fender is a small black box that the vent lines go to.

 

i threw mine out. and i ran a small filter to it. The type that ricers use on their valve covers for breather's.

 

did you put a filter on each line... or just one on the larger vent coming from near the starter.

 

i T'd the hoses together to the filter. There is a diagram and pictures of this on y f z central dot com
