Default Timing marks ????

What are the procedures to installing and setting timing chain marks at TDC.Also what are the correct valve adjustment specs??? I have a 2000 Polaris Magnum 325 engine .Is there a gasket for the valve cover or is it just adhesive that is used ???

Thanks Seppi

Never done the timing chain. But I believe that the valves have the same spec as the 500 motor, which is .006" on the intake and exhaust valves @ TDC compression stroke. Also, Ithe valve cover has a gasket, but I have always just used soem of that gasket maker stuff

.006 is correct for both intake and exhaust. I agree with BigBad, you can get a lot of sealant for the price of that gasket.
