Vinson 500, Grizzly450, Prairie 360?

Depends on what you want to do. When someone asks, 'whats best' , youre gonna hear about whats best in our mind,.... you want to find out which is the best for you. Its all in how you plan on using it, and what your preferences are. Each has an advantage over the others, but none clearly stand out as best.
If its heavy mudding, youd want the lockable front end of the kawi and yami. Which I think you mean, is a 450 kodiak?
If you want a smooth ride on the trail...then the yami has the only irs of the three.
They are all going to be dependable.
The fastest will probably be the vinson.

Yeah Kodiak is what I meant. Good info..I was thinking the same. I know the Vinson is fast, just wondering if the Yamaha Kodiak is lame with the auto shifting.....

Kodiak lame? Youre gonna need to find one to test drive. The motor sounds awesome and its cvt tranny is about as good as it gets. It has the best engine braking for an auto, i rarely need to use the brakes. The locking front end lets it get thru almost anything.
I was turned off by the kawi auto, because of the whine, (even when new), ...the yami is almost silent.
Youre gonna need to get some seat time on each, thats the best way to find out what you will like.

My stepdad's Vinson hits 65 on straights. It's a pretty good quad. I think he'd like it more if it had a locker.
I've had my Prairie 360 and his Vinson tied tail to tail to see which one could pull the other. I won.
