Uh oh, transmission?
#1
I was riding last night and I got somewhere I did not want to be, so I tried to stick it in reverse. Well the darn thing wouldn't go in to it. But, finally I got it in and I got out of the spot and tried to put it in first and it would not go at all, even go by hand. SO, I wiggled it around eventually getting it in to first and then no problems when moving, but I stopped again and in reverse it did the same thing. So I thought I would load it up and take it home and when I was getting ready to go onto my truck, it just started foward with the clutch in and not on a slope or nothing. So waht gives? Sorry it got so long.

Yeah....I would have to agree with this sounding like a clutch issue. When your tranny goes out, one of two things will happen.....you will start to feel it slip when you shift for a little while.....and then BAMO - one day it will lock up. Or it will just lock up with no real warning!! If it's not a 2001, I wouldn't worry too much about the transmission.........
