Bought an 05 sportsman 90 for my rug rat, is there any restrictors or hopup for these other than the jumper and maybe a new pipe?

Also
Sometimes when using the electric start it sound like the starter is still engaged. Any comments?

Just wonder how you like the 90? Looking at the mini's for my boys. The magazines info said that
these new polaris's were fitted with rev and a quieter muffler. Are thet as quite as say 4-stroke cat 90?

Sorry, don't know about the starter.......don't have any problems withour 2004 Pred.90 when starting. As far as hop ups check this site out... http://www.off-road.com/atv/kidskorner/ They have quite a bit on this topic. How does the reverse work? If I knew they were going to add the For./Nue./Rev for 2005 I would have waited on my kid's Predator.

 

Reverse works good, to good, mine goes 10 ft forward and 20 back. There is a slight delay after changing gears and you have to kinda bump the throttle to make the belt or clutch engage but then wide open.

The rev limiter limits the speed to 15 mph, spitting and sputtering, can we say foul plug city...... We graduated from a '03 Kawasaki 50 with a pull start and .020" O/S pistons to the new polaris and I like the difference, ELECTRIC start.. and rev...They say 30 mph with the limiter out, he's gone tomorrow so I'll see....
The front nose is plastic so I'm waiting to see how much that cost.
2k was a little much but it's big enough that he (5 yrs old) will not out grow it for a while.
