vdi snorkle mod for 650
#1
Has anybody done a vdi snorkle mod to the airbox of a 650 cat. i searched the forum and could not find any posting in the last few months. My question is this - What jets do you use for the carbs. I read somewhere that #138 jets should be used. I have them ordered but they are on back order for a month at least. I have ordered #135 jets hoping they will work just as well. Not really mechanically inclined. My friend does all the work. Any opinions would be appreciated.

whatever you guys find out would be appreciated by me and alot of people cause i been thinking of a snorkle kit you can't help but lose power but if i can run almost underwater it is worth it and do you have to drill a hole in your front fender????? this is a whole new area that i think i need to explore for myself

I put a 2-1/2" 90 deg elbow directly into the airbox by drilling over the stock "stub" sticking out of the airbox with a 2-3/4 hole saw. I then drilled a hole in the plastic and ran it to the outside.
