Help with re-installing my wolvey's cyclinder.
#1
Hi guys. I just got my cylinder back after having it bored out for my Powroll 365 kit. Well, during the installation process I ran into a problem. I worked my cylinder over the new piston and then lowered it into the case where it should be. It appears to be lined up with the bolt holes, but when I try to tighten the allen head bolt that secures the cylinder to the case, the other side raises up. Something isn't right. With only the one bolt securing the cylinder, I/m thinking it will be a big problem with a noticeable gap on underside of cylinder(opposite of bolt side). Bottom line is I am stuck!! Please give me some suggestions or advise.

I am sure you did this, but check to make sure there is no debris causing an obstruction. Then if that is not an issue get a good square prefferibly a machinest square and check the cylinder. It might have to be squared up?

you put the allen head bolt in AFTER you torque down the cylinder studs, if you tighten it down first and then torque the cylinder studs, you could break the tab off the cylinder, just put the alen head bolt in the hold the cylinder in place, but just finger tight.

Thanks for the response guys. I'm gonna try it again this afternoon. Sounds like just finger tightening the allen bolts and letting the head bolts square it up should do the trick.

Jonezin2ride, let us know how your bike runs when you get it going. I've been considering the powroll myself and am curious to see how it does. What did it run you to have your cylinder bored?
