Default Service for (lakota sport)!

Does anyone know what is involved in a service like if i were to bring my quad in to my dealer to get service before the winter. Is it wroth the $90.00. Would they adjust the valves and clutch also change the oil and clean the air filter stuff like that. Also my clutch slips a lot when my quad is cold, but when i get it warmed up it seems fine, what could be the problem here. Do i need a new clutch or an adjustment.

The dealer should do all of that and thats a pretty good deal for $90.If you don't take it to the dealer, you can buy a service manual and do it yourself and save money in the long run.Well it seems your clutch is slipping, along with every other lakota sport,so what you need is a k&g factory clutch kit.Do a search on the kg clutch kit and you'll get alot of topics of it.

Thanks, my quad also is buring oil but that could be because of my pipe too much power haha. When i rev it black smoke comes out so i now that it's fuel because blue smoke is oil. I'm not worried about it, but also it's been a long time since i change my oil. I plan on doing this week and i'll see what happends.

If it isn't the oil, then it could be the jetting, because i've heard the dg pipes are hard to find the correct jet sizes.

Is this something to worry about, should i ask my dealer to take another look at it when i get it service. Also will this mess up my quad or damage the motor in any type of way.

Well if the jetting is off it can hurt the engine in the long run,so just tell the dealer to have a look at it,but this may not be it.

Yeah, maybe i'll bring it down to my dealer this week and get it serviced and have them look at the jetting too. But it's hard to believe that this could be the problem because it runs so smooth. Also you can only really see the black smoke if you look really close when i rev it up. I don't really want to worry about it to much because compared to my friends z250 with the yoshimura pipe on it smokes like hell (blue) when you start it when it's cold. Do you think that this is a bigger problem that my quad, i think so. His is also jetted.

It probably isn't the jetting then,i mean if you can only see it barely coming out, then your in good shape, because i believe its just the pipe making the smoke.I think my supertrapp on my lakota does it also.
