Hey, I using my buddys dads 03 Srambler 400, and it keeps kicking out of gear.......some where around top end. I have not yet look to see what it could be. We just got back from riding. Has anyone else had this problem, I know that my Scrambler never did this.

 

Sounds like an adjustment problem like not going all the way in gear.I had this on my kids TB but it had a broken tranny case and I knew what it was on his.But try checking the adjustment.

 

mine does that ! i tried ajusting it but it didnt seem to matter. i hooked a rubber strap under the fender on the shifter and ran it forward to the plastic mount just in front of the shifter. it just keeps it it gear and doesnt take it out of revers . ive always ment to look at it more but it works so well that i forgot about it !!

i had a fzr 1000 that did that in 2 gear it was the shift forks as soon as hit the gas it would jump out of gear.not sure if it is the same but thought i would let ya know good luck

 

what does that mean?
the clutuch setup is shifting out are or you are running out gears then?
would check belt deflection,swingarm,is the gearing slowered down?
