Anyone got Cycle Country Heated Grips?
#2
I've got them, they are good. Couple of things with them, they are much larger than your standard grips, hope you don't mind the size, the buldge in the middle.
Other problem is installing them. Their instructions say to use 'slow' setting epoxy....DO NOT use epoxy unless you never want to get them off again without alot of cutting.
They aren't the most efficient grips and will dim your lights slightly, so if you plan on using your winch, turn your heated grips off. Also, when installing them, use soapy water to put them on and do not twist alot or you will separate the rubber from the inner portion with the heater. I like them better than 'Hot Grips', but they are alittle less efficient, i.e. they use more power. Make sure you wire them into one of the 'ignition hot' wires so that you don't leave them on.

FYI ... to get the grips on and off use an air compressor blow gun. Insert the blow gun in one end of the handle bars, and place your hand over the other end and blow! If you have the pressure high enough the grips will BLOW off. Use can use the same to get the grips back on, it just takes alittle less pressure. This makes changing grips about a 5 min job.

Using a compressor with Heated grips doesn't work, only with rubber grips. Heated grips have a solid inside piece of plastic.
