Default 250X rebuilt

Had my 250x rebuilt
.04 over
12.5:1 compression
My question is about type of gas to use. Can I get away with running 93 and still be safe?

I am not 100% sure, but I think with 12.5:1 you need to mix it 50/50 with race gas. Also, I used to run half 93 and AV fuel. Go to your local airport(if it's nearby) and ask them for Aviation Fuel. It's only $3.50 or so, compared to $6.50 for race gas! The downside of AV fuel is it's not always a consistent octane, or so I'm told.

Yea Ill have to try a 50/50 mix and see how it runs. Any idea of what kinda of power gain Ill see from this. Still stock cam and stock bottom end. I believe stock it puts out 15hp at the wheels.
