Default How-to removal of front brake pads, PLEASE???

I havent a clue on how to remove the pins on the front calipers on my '02 SP700, ANYONE?

I did notice the upper pin had a lug that required an allen key for removal, the lower pin doesnt have a lug just a rubber fitting..... I have no clue how to remove the pins.

Back out the allen key and it should give just enough room to slide the shoes off the pin, its kind of like one of those chinese puzzles everything has to line up

I completely removed the lug and already tried sticking the allen key inside but their is no allen key indent for it.

The rear is different the pins screw right out with the allen key from the inside, the allen key upfront isnt attached to the pin itself its just a lug that covers up the hole leading to the pin.

Am I missing somethng?

Try to get one side of the pad off at a time over the pin the square hole allows for the pad to swing out more

Thnx for the tip!

One thing that I will make clear for those who havent done this yet on this bike is that you MUST remove the caliper from the strut to get those pads off/on, unlike the rear caliper.

Also I wanted to point out if yall havent noticed that when you put that allen key plug back in place IF you over tighten it the wheel will not spin, backing this plug out a few notches allowed the wheel to spin freely again.....so watch that you dont overdo it or it cld lead to premature pad, rotor, etc. wear.
