rounded or square front tires??
#4
I've had multiple brands of both types, all in all I like the rounded best. the flat may be prefered for tracks, but the rounded is more versatile. particularly, I find the rounded tires work better straddling ruts, where the flats rely on the "corner" of the tire to keep you from slipping into the crevass the rounded conform better and give a wider contact patch. and IMO the rounded are more stable at high speed with less wandering.
if you don't use front sand tires and keep your knobbies on in the sand, the rounded knobbies are way way better in sand than flats.

A friend of mine bought a banshee with square fronts for the track and it realy sucked in the sand he had to change them.
the ohtsus i have on the front seem to work fine. i have also used dunlops that worked ok in the sand.

I justed switched to Holeshot HD 6ply from the stockers. WOW what a difference! Be careful if you get these as they get so much more traction that the stockers. They are a bit heavier too but I need the durability on the rockey trails that I ride
I like them alot!
