rancher 350 need for speed?
#1
Is there any way to get more top end out of these machines? I have a pipe, filter, and a jet kit. My buddy with a wolverine keeps getting me up stairs and its getting anoying!

Don't know what speeds you've reached, but the fastest I ever acheived was 53 mph. That was totally stock with the exception of the K&N filter. I've now loaded my unit down with all kinds of accessories, which I personally would not trade for speed, but I top-out at 45 mph now, without the blade--obviously! You "might" achieve more speed if you installed the Warn 424, if you're running a 4x4 model. Less horsepower would be consumed by turning your front end. The cheapest I've seen them advertised is around $250.

When my bike was stock (without filter, jet kit, exhaust) I had no problem hitting 83 km/h (53mph, which sounds like the rev limiter in 5th to me). I still didn't have a problem after adding a winch, front/rear bumpers, rear seat, foot pegs, etc.
