Default Just picked up Lt 50

A friend of a friend won a lt 50 in a drawing tuesday. He didnt want it so I went over this morning to look at it. I ended up buying it for 800. Not bad I dont think. The quad looks brand new but has the quad master stickers on it which made me think 02. My son is getting it for christmas and I know about the exhaust restrictor from my older sons Lt 80 any thing else I should know of. The bike bearly takes off.

Any help would be great

Not too sure of the details of the LT-50 unit.

In the main view window, you should see a "Search Category:" line at the top of the posting list. Within the free form box to the right of it, enter "LT50" and select search button. This will pull up lots of LT50 historical posts. Posts ranging from baffles to upgrades to related info.

Hope this suggestion allows you to learn more about your new LT50 unit.

I have found some mods for the 50 but there really isnt that much found when the search is done. I think my oldest wants to try racing so Im gonna get ahold of Jack and get his 80 setup. As far as the 50 goes I'm gonna order some dmi wheel spacers and take the restrictor out of the exhaust and intake. I also read to take the end cap off the exhaust or drill it out to a larget size. Thanks for any more info yall can give me.

The LT 50s are noted for being very sluggish. I don't have any personal experience with these guys but its one of the only places I've seen that advertises mods for a LT50.They are saying 30 mph out of one these things which would be a tremendous improvement over stock.Check out www.miniquadracing.com/

we had an '84 LT50, no front brakes, no suspension. it was small, but it was like a rocket. maybe the newer stuff is heavier withthe extra features and whatnot... so remove the front brakes and suspension
