I have 2001 Kawasaki Lokota sport 300 and i want to upgrade tires to either the mudlite 22x8-10 front and rear 22x11-10 or the Titan 489 x/t rear 22x11-10,and front 2x8-10 Goodyear Tracker ST's and i am wondering what tire is better for mudding, sugar sand and just a better all around terrian tire please let me know what tire is better?

I had the mudlites on my V-Force 22x11x10. they are a very good tire. I don't have many hours on my mudlites. I took them off and put some ITP 25x12x10 589's on the rear cause i wanted a lot more aggressive tire. A bunch of buddies of mine have the mudlites and they love them. Best tire in my opinion. I think ITP makes the best tires period!! I also ran some Titans a few times in the mud runs i compete in and i think they are a good tire too. I got first in my class with those Titans but I don't know what model they were. I think they are a little on the heavy side though. ITP's are lighter.

I love my mudlites also! Great mud and sand tire if thats what you want, can't vote for 489's, gotta go with ML's. Search all mud lite threads and you'll see, most people are very satisified with them.

I second for the Mudlites, a great wearing tire for most conditions, mud, snow ( even though I am thinking of a set of the new ITP Wetlands Radials for a second set of tires.)

OK
Both sides of the coin here.
We have 489 XTs on our Wolverines at work. Dang good tires.
We may have to ride 30 to 40 miles a nite coverin NM desert area rocks, sand, mesquites, cactus a little mud when it does rain. Handles it all very well. Very resistant to sidewall puctures as well
When the Rio Grande is up we've had them up to the headlight in the river and still gettin it.
Shorter profile and flatter profile than the Mudlite at higher speed on hard stuf a bit more stable than the Mudlite.
But, the tires on the Wolverines are 22s I think, The Mudlites on my personal Prairie 360 are 26.
Mudlites on the 360 sling stuff like crazy. I mean that in a good way.
I've had the 360 in the same river up to the lights and did just as well.
I've noticed on hard pack at higher speed the Mudlites want to move around a little bit.
This is just because of the smaller contact patch. Bout a inch of dirt, goes like crazy. I mean that in a good way also.
They are a touch heavier tha the 489 XT, so you may want to consider that if your putting the on a 300.
Both tires are tough lookin tires too. Asthetics do matter.
All in all either on is a good tire.
I've ridden both A LOT and like both a lot.
Hope this ramblin helps and doesn't muddle your dilemma.
