my friend has a blaster and he said it would outrun a 400 ex on the dragstrip so would a stock blaster outrun a stock 400..........

 

the 400ex will waste it. stock for stock the 400 tops out at aboutt 66-68, the blaster hits about 62

 

the balster would be worth comparing to the 300ex.... no contest, the 400ex will kill it.

 

me and fdadot200 raced, 3 time he could stay with me into middle of second, by the time i hit 3rd on my stock 400 i burned him, prolly bike 6-7 bike lengths, and i was only in 4th we ran outta room

blasters a quick bikes tho, and will hand a 300ex its azz.

stock for stock a 300ex and a blaster are very close, depending on who you ask their top speeds only differ by 3 mph. Both are great trail bikes

 

atually the top speed of a blaster compaers to a 250ex toping out around 53 54...people just assume its faster since it accelerates much faster than alot of the other entry level bikes...

 

a stock 400 would KILL a blaster even if the blaster had a couple mods to it a blaster isnt that great of a quad my friend had one with somethings done to it and it was one of the slowest quads ive ever riden

 

well i wouldnt call it the slowest of quads since it does have asome pep due to the fact it is a 2 stroke and has a fairly decent power band...just it aint gonna beat a 400ex or a 300ex...

 

Very well written, but we all know with the money you save buying a blaster over a 300ex or 400ex you can put that extra thousand into modifications. Not only will a yamaha blaster with reeds, piped, jetted and even bored waste a stock 300ex but will definently keep up with a 400ex. Often you see beginers in tt racing starting off with highly moded blasters. Just to keep peace stock off the show room floor 400EX= 65 300EX varies between 58-60 and Blasters top out around 55-56 basicallydue to a 198cc motor. My suggestion to you is instead of asking us who will win throw your ***** out there on the line and waste him with your 400.

 

My 250x when i had it would pass up a blaster that was piped from start to finish! so i think a 400ex would handel up real nice it is a 195cc lol lawn mower looking engine ( i know i am gonna get burned for this but i think its funny! have you seen that engine up close it is SMALL!) against a 397cc!
