I know this isnt the right place to put this add but i didnt know what topic to put this under.Well I just bought a new bike a kdx 220 and I'm debating do i get a full size trailer for 1 bike and a quad,or do I buy 1 of those things it slides into the hitch reciever, its like a ramp, bike carrier, just sits on the back of the bumper like a bike rack, its in the back of all the off-road mags.just curious what any 1 thinks there experience with these things,I know ya have to be careful with a full size trailer though, thanks for your replies

Well, if money is not the prime consideration, I definitely would opt for a trailer for a couple of reasons. For one thing, when you get home you simply drop the trailer and the bikes are unloaded at the same time, and if it is a box trailer they are automatically put away along with the other gear; gas cans, tools, riding gear, etc.
I have a Wells Cargo 14' box trailer which holds both quads or one quad & two bikes plus gear. I also use it as a camper when the bikes are unloaded and sleep in it on extended rides.
I would think that the weight of a rear bumper rack together with the bikes would make a considerable difference in handling/steering of the vehicle used since it would be at the extreme opposite end of the steering geometry.

what does this hitch carrier cost? I paid 900.00 for a 7' X 14' landscape trailer (new) with a ramp gate. I find myself using it for WAY more than hauling bikes.
