The wheels attach to the axle splines? directly. Single large nut.

 

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, It's time for a custom rear swingarm and a gocart axle. That is what we are doing to my son's 40. That is the only solution to the problem at this time. A great little machine, just too narrow. Bill

 

You can use any Eton splined rear wheel hub. Same spline pattern through out the entire line of Vipers. Then you can use aftermarket wheels with the correct off set to give you the desired width.

Hey Maggie's boy, What all have you done to your RXL-40. I just built up a 2000 IXL-40 for my daughter. I updated it to 2004 style. I was wanting to get a little more out of the motor, yet keep it reliable. Thanks.
