Default Heated Grips

Has any one tried the HotGrips? Not sure which grip and switch to get, want to see what others have installed.

Does anyone know off what the diameter of the handlebar is on a 2003 SP700?

I have hot grips and thumbwarmers on my sp 500 HO, I had the dealer throw them in as part of the purchase deal. Mine have a round switches that they mounted just below and to the side of the speedo pod, one on each side, looks great almost factory. You can sort of see them in the picture below the 2 round black dots by the speedo. If you need a closer picture I can probably take one!!

The grip size on all Polaris Sportsmans is 7/8". I have Cycle Country heated grips. The problem with Hot Grips is that they use a cheesy toggle switch. Cycle Country heated grips come with a handlebar mount that has 'off/lo/high'....and there is a light for 'lo' and 'high'....so you know when they're on.

We were riding yesterday, it was under 30 degree's, I had to turn them off, my hands were too warm. They are a pain in the *** to put on though, they have a solid plastic core that goes over the bars and it is recommended that you use slow setting epoxy to put them on.

My brother inlaw has the Hotgrips on his 600. They get very warm but the switch suck$. I have the Polaris handwarmers. They also get very warm. Easy to install and the switch is nice.

Hey brambles, i noticed in that picture that your atv was packed with snow. After riding in the snow today, i realized that the areas where the front adn rear driveshafts are were packed tight with snow. I poked out as much as i could, but i am worried about it freezing, then hurting my CV boots. Do you clean the snow out of there every time you ride? I realized a heated garage would be the ideal solution, but at my camp we don't have a garage.
