Default eton viper 90 chain adjuster

Any idea how I adjust the chain on the viper 90? the owners manual isnt the clearest on this. There is a nut on the front and the back of where it says to adjust it. Which way do I turn and which one to tighten? thanks for any help

Loosen the outside several turns then tighten the inside one. You have to push the back of the quad down to find where the chain is at its tightest point, then adjust the chain for the right amount of slack. I put a chain tensioner on my sons Viper, it keeps the chain under tension so I have to adjust it less often.

Cool thanks, I guess I adjust it while someone is pushing the quad all the way down in the rear? How much was a chain tensioner? and where did you get it? Thanks

You can use a tie down strap to hold the suspension together between the grab bar and the axle. I got the tensioner from High Performance Designs Inc. They have a website. I would call to order one because they have a couple different ones and its possible to get the wrong one. Around 50.00$

I have a Viper90 in my garage. It's a RXL-90. IF your is the same, you loosen the carrier (4 bolts) then use the adjustment rods you mentioned.
With the rider on the machine, you should have 1 inch of play in the chain.
