Default Kazuma Lacoste 110 - NO REVERSE

Hello everyone I'm new to this board.

I bought my yougest son a new Kazumi Lacoste 110 for Christmas. He really enjoys it but it now has a major issue: Reverse gear is completely inoperative! It pulls slightly but slips. I acts like it has a sheared keyway on the reverse gear. Has anyone heard of this problem? Advice?

Thanks in advance!

Ernie

I also have a Kazuma 110 that is having the same type of problems. narrowed it down to the clutch coming loose on the shaft. but have not gotten it to work properly yet. loading as we speak to take to the shop.

Pardon my ignorance, but does the same clutch work for forward gear? My sons ATV works fine in all of the forward gears. Reverse gear slips and is basically useless.

I hear you loud and clear on the honda clutch parts.

Thanks!

Yes the clutch is the same for both forward and reverse gears. I had 3 symptoms for my clutch going south. Very black oil, slipping clutch and an oil smell. The black oil is caused the clutch plate friction material disentigrating and mixing with the oil. I would change to the Honda clutch parts and go from there. The clutch parts come from a 91-94 Honda CT70. You should be able to get everything you need from your local Honda dealer or online. You will also need a clutch nut removal tool, Honda also. Total cost under $50.

Good luck!!!
