I just got my bigred back together and it wouldn't start my brother said it was probably the timing and I was wondering how to set it. Thanx its and 86 250ES bigred don't know if the timings diff on the other ones.

 

Does anyone no how to set the timing on a bigred? please i need help.

hi on the timing chain there is a different colored link it goes at the top and there should be a t mark on flywheel turn it until its in the right spot at the top then the colored link should still be at the top then put the cam gear on and line it up with the link then bolt her down. hope this will help its a little late
