Default Should I Go With The Grizz?

Well, I had originally decided to buy a new 05 Kodiak 450 but the more and more reviews I read about the Kodiak having problems with the rear brakes squealing and also the problems with getting to the zerk fitting, I am having second thoughts. I am now looking at the Grizzly because of these issues. In your opinion, do you think these issues are enough to move up to the Grizz? Thanks.

Grizz probably has the same problems. My brakes clack, like all Grizzlys (not a problem, just a noise), and I never can get on one of the front driveshaft zerks. I would imagine the designs are very similar.

Do the brakes squeal while you are riding or only when you apply the brakes?

I've had no ploblems with mine. It only takes small hands and a few minutes to change the grease fitting. I would have gotten the Griz for the extra power but i wanted something i could feel safe with my wife and 9 year old riding. Oh and it was less expensive. But i am very pleased with the 450 it does all i need it to do and more.

The grizz and the kodiak are both great machines cause I've ridden both of them so I"d get the one you like most but of course they have there advanteges kodiak is lower to the ground so it gets better stability then the grizz but the grizz fun to drive so it depends on the trails you drive on and which quad is better suited for you.
